Alfi Jellinek, an Austrian rabbi, announced in the Austrian press of the day he converted to Islam after a drunken night where he met Allah. The light of faith penetrated his heart, he said. The man was celebrating the birthday of one of his friends in a bar in Vienna when late evening, leaving for a cigarette, he knew. Here’s what he told our colleagues of « Die Presse », an Austrian daily newspaper:
I was seized with a terrible need to get on my knees and direct me to the southeast. Then I lost consciousness for a few minutes, perhaps hours. When I woke up, I was convinced he had found faith, true, Islam.
Alfi Jellinek is now called Seif Mahdi and decided to spend the rest of his days in converting knowledge.
